From a young age, I wasn’t interested in doing what felt easy. I was the one choosing the harder path, cross country at school or years later competing at an elite level in rowing, representing New Zealand. My sporting background is where my discipline stems from and is at the foundation of everything I’ve built.

At 23, I backed myself and started my own personal training business with $1,000, a suitcase, and no guarantees. Within four months, I had built a full client base and created a life that gave me independence, travel, and momentum.

But behind the scenes, I learnt a lesson most high-performing women eventually face, success without structure leads to burnout.

That experience changed how I operate. I didn’t stop building instead I changed the model to scale into a six-figure business, adapted through challenges like the pandemic, and navigated the transition into motherhood without losing my ambition.

What I built next had to hold both business growth and a life I actually wanted to be present for.
